Kenneth R. Marcia, 71, passed away on July 16, 2025, with his wife by his side. Ken was born on February 4, 1954, in Hartford, CT to Raymond and Irene (Lemieux) Marcia. He is predeceased by his son-in-law, Jonathan Crane. He leaves two siblings, Richard and his wife Rachael and their son, Liam; a sister, Lynn Antaya and her three children, Greg, Lisa, and Tracy; as well as two sisters-in-law, Jean Puzon and Eve Crampton. Ken also leaves his wife, Katherine and four darling daughters, Karen Piro, her husband Steve and their three boys, Jackson, Josh and Jayson; Nicole Crane and her two girls, Estella and Charlotte; Suzanne Bousquet, her husband Matt and their three children, Miranda, Hunter and Sebastian and Ann Marie Drury, her husband Ryan and their two boys, Sheamus and Declan. He loved God and was a good and faithful servant. He was devoted to his church, Trinity Covenant Church, and felt God blessed him with the wonderful friendships he made with so many of the members. Ken retired from UTC, starting in the "shop" and rising to the position of vice president, responsible for the global supply chain organization. During his time at UTC, he also worked in the Space and Sea Division; he worked on the space program and attended the first space shuttle launch. He retired from UTC and joined the Dresser Rand Corporation, running their global supply chain division, traveling the world, living in different locations with Kay, including Paris, France. A second retirement brought him back to CT to be close to family. He then decided to get his real estate license and formed a team called Team K at BHHS. His strong work ethic continued, as he ran a very successful business, being named one of the top 1% of teams in all the BHHS offices around the globe. Family was everything to Ken. He enjoyed big Sunday dinners surrounded by his girls and all the grandchildren. He loved cooking for them and, in fact, all his friends as well. If you came to visit, you came to eat. If you were ill, he would deliver homemade soup to you. Another highlight for Ken was bringing each one of the grandchildren on an individual trip when they turned ten. He would spend hours researching areas of specific interest for each grandchild. Trips included Nashville, New York City, Phoenix, Louisville, Huntsville, Boston and Chicago. He was so proud of all his grandchildren. A special thanks goes to his two oldest grandsons: Josh, who once Grandpa became ill, took every Saturday to spend time with him, playing cards and being his new sous-chef for dinners; and along with Jackson, whose dedication, devotion and care during his last days was extraordinary. Ken was a kind, caring, loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held August 9, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Covenant Church, 302 Hackmatack Street, Manchester, CT.
