Kenneth Durand Mason

Kenneth Durand Mason, born June 2, 1951, passed away on December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He resided in Louisburg, North Carolina, where he spent his later years. Kenneth was born to Quentin and Virginia Mason, who shaped the foundation of the man he became.
Kenneth was the devoted husband of Nora Elaine Mason, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a proud father to Jacob, Adam, and Joshua, and he welcomed their spouses as his own-Chelle, married to Jacob; and Sarah, married to Josh. His greatest joys were his grandchildren-Hunter, Brooklyn, Margo, and Jude-and his great-grandchildren-Margerie, Gatlin, Kya, Mason, Maverick, and Beau. "Papa" adored each one and found his deepest happiness in the growing generations of his family.
Kenny worked at International Paper Company, where he retired after a dedicated career. During his years there, he developed friendships that endured and uplifted him all the way to his final days.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife Elaine Mason, his parents Virginia and Clinton Mason, and his son Adam Mason. He is survived by his sons Jacob and Joshua, their wives Chelle and Sarah, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry his love and legacy forward.
Kenneth's life was marked by loyalty, strength, and a spirit that blessed everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he sowed throughout his family.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a service honoring Kenneth's life at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 19th at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL 32533. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Selma Primitive Baptist Church, 767 Salem Church Rd, Wendell, NC 27591.
