Kenneth Ward McCray, known to family as Kenny, was born on September 17, 1952 in Fullerton, California. He is the son of Alva Alexander McCray and Fayra Dean Harshbarger. He married Judy Bloom August 29, 1978 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Kenny passed from this world to Heaven on March 13, 2025 at the age of 72. Kenny attended Skedee schools through the second grade. Kenny attended Newcastle schools through his sophomore year in high school. Next, he attended and graduated Pawnee High School in 1970. Kenny attended and graduated from the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma in 1974. After brief stints working in Baytown, Texas he returned to Pawnee Area. When he married Judy, they made their home in Stillwater. He and Judy moved to Oregon for a short time and then returning back to Stillwater before purchasing his Great- Grandparents/Grandmother’s home and remaining on the farm until his death. Kenny was a master electrician and he worked for several companies during his lifetime including Texas Turbines (Baytown Texas), Swann Hose (Stillwater), a manufacturing company (Oregon), Mercury Marine (Stillwater), Sonoco (Broken Arrow).
Kenny leaves behind his loving wife Judy, his sons James McCray and wife Tammy and grandchildren Haley McCray, Dillion Klutts, Kolt Leatherwood, Kody Klutts and 8 great grandchildren. He was a loving brother to David McCray (Vickie), John McCray (Mary Jane), and Kathy Gooch (Jerry) and, many nieces and nephews Randy (Barbara), Becky (Chad), Jenny (Duane), Jordan (Rake), Rachel (Romel). Great nieces and nephews Ashley (Tyler), Aubrey (Stuart), Ainslee, Kendon (Kylee), Kelsee, Johnn (Shelby), Jacob, Jack.
Kenny was a kind and loving man who enjoyed the little things in life. He was always ready to lend a hand to family and neighbors. He had a brilliant mind for detail and family history. Kenny could repair anything, loved tinkering, and loved working on the farm with his animals.
He will be greatly missed by all!
