Kenneth was a 45-year employee of Safeway Stores, Inc. During his career he was a store manager, Safeway brand manager, and district manager. He worked for the company in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Arizona.
Preceded in death by his parents, Hienrick "Henry" Reinhold Meeske and Ada Marie (Hinzman) Meeske. Survived by his wife, Carolyn Jean Meeske of Wichita, KS; daughters, Christine Meeske (David) Stittsworth of Wichita, KS, Catherine Meeske (Mark) Witte of Clive, IA; son, Richard (Susan) Meeske of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Gene (Marilyn) Meeske of Lincoln, NE, Gary Meeske of Lincoln, NE, Gerald (Nancy) Meeske of Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Nancy Barber of Fairbury, NE; sister-in-law, Judy Cary of Austin, TX.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Habitat for Humanity, 130 E. Murdock, Ste. #102, Wichita, KS 67214, Lions Clubs International Foundation, Department 4547, Carol Stream, IL 60122-4547, and Ascension Lutheran Church, 842 N. Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS 67212. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
