Kenneth R. Meredith, 78, of Mexico, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born in Wabash, Indiana to the late Charles I. and Mildred P. (Kester) Meredith on December 25, 1947.
Kenneth graduated from North Manchester High School in 1966 and later joined the United States Army - proudly served his country from 1968-1971. He retired from Chrysler after 30 years. Kenneth was a member of the VFW Peru Post 2067.
He married Jane Ann (Townsend) on November 28, 1969 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2004.
Kenneth is survived by his children; Angela (Tony) Bowman of Wabash, Michael (Phyllis) Meredith of Peru, grandchildren; Levi (Tori) Bowman, Ryan Meredith, Randy (MaryBeth) Mongosa, and great grandchildren; Myla Bowman, Brody Bowman, and Rayla Mongosa.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Mikie Meredith, Pauline Meredith, and wife, Jane.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral service will begin at 11am on Monday, January 12, 2026 with Alexis Gentry officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
