Kenneth E. Miller Sr., 80, of Latrobe, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital.
Born July 8, 1944 in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Charles H. Miller and Betty S. (Lloyd) Miller.
Ken was a veteran of the Army National Guard and served during the Vietnam Era. He spent his career as a truck driver, a job that he loved. Many of those years were spent as an over-the-road driver, allowing him the opportunity to see the country. In his later years, he enjoyed playing computer games and being outdoors, especially "tinkering" in his shed. He will be remembered for his loving, good heart, and always being willing to help others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Seth Miller; two brothers, Edgar and William Miller; and one sister, Mary Ann Murphy.
Ken is survived by his wife, Violet M. (Moore) Miller; three sons, Kenneth E. Miller Jr., John E. Miller, and Raymond C. Miller; a brother, James T. Miller; several beloved grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dogs and cat, Sadie Mae, Teddy Bear, and Fluffy.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. Military services will be conducted at 7:30 PM Thursday in the funeral home by the Latrobe Derry Veterans Honor Guard.
