Kenneth C. Mulally

Kenneth Carl Mulally, age 76, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Kenny was born on April 23, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois to Carl E. and Marian E. (Krause) Mulally. He married Susan J. Reed on November 23, 1984, in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Susan; his sons, Nick (Jen Bourscheidt) Mulally of Chillicothe, IL and Jake Mulally of Peoria, IL; his grandson, Braden Mulally of Chillicothe, IL; and his siblings: Barb Vandermoon of Southern Illinois, Mopsy Burdick of Peoria, IL, Marilyn (Denny) Otto of Hudson, IL, Rodney (Julie) Mulally of Chillicothe, IL, Ted (Jan) Mulally of Colorado and Julie (Gary) Rampy of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jane Chavis; and other loved ones including brother-in-laws, Kenny Burdick, and Cliff Vandermoon.
Kenny honorably served in the Vietnam War from 1969–1971. He was a member of the "Famous Fighting Fourth Infantry Division" as a machine gunner in Company B – 2nd Battalion – 35th Infantry. He was most proud of being awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, as well as other commendations for his service. Kenny was a Tow Boat Captain for the Army Corp of Engineers from 1984 until he retired in 2012. He enjoyed hunting and playing golf, pool parties, wintering in Florida, and spending time with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm at Shore Acres Clubhouse in Chillicothe, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight.
