Mr. Kenneth (Kenney) Joseph Nelson was born in New Orleans, LA on July 13, 1960, to Willis Stephen Nelson and Edna Scovell.
Kenneth J. Nelson spent the first 11 years of his life in New Orleans Louisiana. By age 12, Kenneth moved from the South to the West Coast where he lived in Los Angeles, California before moving to (The Valley) Pacoima, California along with five brothers and two sisters. Kenny was the second child of eight.
As Kenney grew into a young man, he had a love for music, Lowrider cars and raising pigeons. Kenney loved being a big brother, and he was a very energetic, highly intelligent and charming young man.
Kenneth loved helping others and family was important to him. Kenneth was extremely resilient and a fighter. He was faced with many challenges in his life, but he was very strong and determined.
Kenneth was 23 years old when he met his beautiful young wife Mee-Mee in 1983. He found his best friend, soulmate, and the true love of his life. Kenneth and Deme a.k.a. (Mee-Mee), were truly in love with each other and they were destined to be together no matter the cost. They married in 1995 and deeply loved each other till God called him home.
Kenneth is survived and missed by his beloved wife Demetrius J. Nelson, four children, seven grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters, Nyra Coleman, Juan Marshall, Pierre Marshall, Orlando, Marshall, Stephen Nelson, Telley Epperson, Ardella McClarty and Courtney Scovell.
