Kenneth G. Newburn, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 1st, 2025.
He was born June 30th 1942, in Alliance to Harry S. and Marie L. (Zumbrennen) Newburn.
A 1960 graduate of Alliance High School, Ken served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was then employed at K-Mart for 47 years.
He was a member of the American Legion post 166 as well as a past member of the Alliance and Minerva Jaycees.
Kenneth was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ and served as a greeter and on the Consistory. He was a big fan of Mount Union Raiders and “The” Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball.
Those left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Barbara (Richard) Fryan of Green Valley, AZ, Joyce (Jack) Cleghorn of El Dorado Hills, CA, two daughters, Tiffany (Kyle) Pilmer, Erica Newburn, both of Alliance, son Brian Newburn, Canton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Frances K. Aikens, and brother Russell L. Newburn.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
