Bruce Earl Robb, a lifelong Alliance resident, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on May 2, 1947, Bruce was a multiple-sport athlete at Alliance High School (’65) and a proud graduate of the University of Mount Union. Shortly after graduation, he was hired by his mentor, Jack Peters, to work for Stifel (formerly Butler Wick & Co.) and retired as a Senior Vice President 45 years later.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Elsie (Stroup) Robb, and brothers, Roger and Richard Robb. Bruce is survived by his life partner, Esther Whiteleather; five wonderful sons that he spoke to daily: BJ (Stacey) Robb, Scottie (Tara) Robb, Evan (Catherine) Robb, Wyatt (Kaitlyn) Robb, and Yale (Candice) Robb; seven grandchildren, Jamyson, Ian, Jaxon, Charlie, Andy, Easton, and Ella; nephew, Greg Robb; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Robb); and numerous friends who were family to him.
Bruce was many things to many people—son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, trusted financial advisor, ATO fraternity brother, golfing buddy, and loyal friend. Former football coach Earl Bruce was once quoted saying, “Bruce Robb is the toughest pound-for-pound player I’ve ever coached against.” Bruce was a fierce Cleveland sports fan and had a soft spot for The Ohio State Buckeyes. However, his true passion was the game of golf. He loved playing it, watching it, and later in life, watching his sons and grandchildren play the game.
