Kenneth E. Nordstrom

1938 - 2022

Kenneth E. Nordstrom, 84, of Antioch, IL, died on December 1, 2022. He was born in Waukegan, IL on May 17, 1938, attended Mother of God Grade School and graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1956. He retired from ComEd/Exelon in 1993 after 35 years of service and was a planning engineer in the Libertyville office. Ken enjoyed doing handyman projects at home and for friends and family. Golf was a favorite hobby as well as playing his accordion and other keyboards. He was a past member of the Waukegan Federation of Musicians Local 284 and played with many bands locally including the Nick Baude Trio, Sound Connection and in the Chicago area with The Flares. Ken is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie (Snyder), 2 sons, Gregory (Lynda Jo) of Sequim, WA, and Steven (Maria) of Overland Park, KS, daughter Janet Nordstrom of Comstock Park, MI, sister Bette (Dennis) Pasiewicz of Huntley, IL, sister-in-law Helen Snyder of Floresville, TX, niece Erica (Steven) Andrew of Huntley, IL, nephew Christopher (Alice) Snyder of New Braunfels, TX, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 grand nephews and 2 grand nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Rosanna (Marcell) Nordstrom, son Geoffrey and brother-in-law Richard (Helen) Snyder.
