Kenneth Russell Novak, age 66, of De Pere, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, December 16, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born in Manitowoc, WI, June 21, 1957, son of the late David and Mary (Schmidt) Novak and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1975.
Ken went on to earn an Associate's of Arts Degree. He began his career as a metal fabricator with Kelvinator. He later pursued his dream of becoming a Brewmaster. Ken brewed beer for Legends, De Pere, for 20 years, sharing his love of the craft with fellow beer lovers.
Ken had a taste for the finer things in life, living his life to the fullest. Formula 1 racing and enjoying gourmet cuisine, were among his greatest passions. He was also an amazing cook who loved to share his talents in the kitchen with family and friends. He had a love of playing cribbage and a passion for photography. Time spent at Road America were some of his fondest memories. His kind and generous nature was admirable and he was always available to help someone in need.
Kenneth is survived by his 2 sons, Ryan and Nicholas Novak; 3 siblings: Michael Novak, Deborah Bast and Gerald (Barb) Novak; 2 nieces, Michelle (Derek) Bast and Tara Novak and nephews, David Novak and Derek (Kristen) Novak (their children, Ella and Olivia). He is further survived by the mother of his children, Ann Vukovich, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sibling and a nephew, Tyler Novak.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 NOON. A memorial service will follow at 12 NOON.
Ken's family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Alay Mansurov, the staff of Unity Hospice and the DeCleene family for their friendship, support and care.
