Kenneth Palmatier Obituary

Kenneth B. Palmatier, Jr. Rock City Falls - Kenneth B. Palmatier, Jr., 80, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, after a short illness. He was born in Schenectady, New York on July 29, 1943, to Kenneth and Mildred Palmatier, Sr. He attended Burnt Hills Ballston Lake Schools and served in the US Army from 1964-1967.
Ken was a truck driver for many years working for Curtis Lumber, Texaco, Airco, and BOC Gases. After he retired, he worked as a substitute cleaner for Ballston Spa Schools. He is an 18-year member of the Milton Eagles Volunteer Fire Department and a longtime member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Rock City Falls.
Ken is survived by his wife of 44 years Cynthia Barber Palmatier, daughter Kendra Glastetter (Dave), stepchildren Joseph DesChenes, Melissa Glastetter (Joel), grandchildren Madelyn DesChenes, Grace, Nickolas, Brady and Jack Glastetter, sister Bonnie Hennel, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 12 at the Simpson United Methodist Church, 1089 Rock City Road, Rock City Falls. Ken will be laid to rest in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ken may be made to the Milton Eagles Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 25, Rock City Falls, NY 12863 or the Simpson United Methodist Church, PO Box 79, Rock City Falls, NY 12863.
