Publish in a newspaper

Kenneth William Paterson, age 72, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Janet M. (McAdoo) Paterson, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Boston on December 22, 1952, Kenneth was the son of the late George F. and Doris (Noyes) Paterson. He was raised primarily in Lexington, MA. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a design engineer.

Kenneth had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing and boating, and he treasured time spent at his family cottage in Ogunquit, Maine. He was also a lifelong dog lover-his faithful companion Addie was rarely far from his side, a true shadow and source of joy in his daily life.

In addition to his loving wife, Kenneth is survived by his children Karen Moraites (Peter) of Chelmsford, William Paterson (Kelly) of Hanson, MA, Lindsay Faria (James) of Chelmsford, and Stephen Paterson, also of Chelmsford. He is also survived by his brother George Paterson of Wilbraham, MA, and his cherished grandchildren Kate, Ryan, Charlie, Owen, Andrew, Meredith, Gavin, Connor, and Ben.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 11 am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd, Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be held privately.
