Kenneth Thomas Peach, 69, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 12:03 a.m., after a tragic and avoidable delay in medical care while under the supervision of the University of Michigan Hospital. Kenneth's family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 11, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel directly followed by a service at 12:00 p.m.
Ken was born on May 24, 1956, in Salem, Massachusetts, to John and Florence (Sylvanowicz) Peach. He was a proud graduate of Salem High School and honorably served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Sumter (LST-1181). While the ship was docked in Spain, Ken married the love of his life, Encarnacion Peach, on February 14, 1978, in a small but deeply romantic ceremony atop the Rock of Gibraltar. Just the two of them, overlooking the sea, beginning a life together that would span 47 beautiful years.
Ken dedicated his life to his amazing wife and incredible family. He was a constant, unwavering presence, never missing a birthday, a game, a graduation, or any moment that mattered. His children and grandchildren knew they could always count on him. He showed his love not through grand gestures but through everyday actions: the rides, the hugs, the cheers from the sidelines, and the unwavering strength he offered without fail.
Known lovingly as "Papa Peach," Ken was the heart of his home. He could fix anything, offer the best advice when you didn't need it, and made everyone laugh and feel better. He was the hardest working guy anyone had ever known. His devotion to his family and ultimate generosity defined who he was, and those who knew him were better for it.
He couldn't wait for the minute to open his camp and be with his second family at his seasonal campsite at the Apple Creek Campground. The campground was his happy place, his retreat, where laughter echoed, memories were made, and friendships became family.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Encarnacion; his children, Kenneth (Deborah) Peach, Amanda (Kyle) Bamm, Angela (Alan) Norris, and Encarna Peach; and his grandchildren, Kenny, Kaylin, Kristina, Kari (Peach), Zoie, Kyle (Bamm), A1C Adam Norris, Abbey (Norris), Jazmin, Colton, Logan (Ropp), and Ryker Peach. He is also survived by his siblings, Florence (Tom) Sylvestro, John Peach, Ron (Val) Peach, and Cheryl (Bob) Smith, along with many extended family members and friends who were touched by his love and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Peach.
Kenneth Thomas Peach was a quiet hero, often known as the father that walked on water. A man who lived for the people he loved. His legacy of strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
