Devoted father of Lori (Rich) Koschnitzki, Ken (Jamie) Porter, Cory (Mandy) Porter and Kevin (Natasha) Porter.
Proud Booya and Bampa of Tyler, Reggie, Zachary, Layla, Donovan, Cooper, Mack and Zara.
Loving son of the late Thomas and Marie Porter.
Dear son-in-law of Anne Hummel.
Cherished brother of Dave (Renee) Porter, late Tom (late Carol) Porter, Chris (Bill) Martin and Jeanne (late Gary) Lassandrello.
Adored uncle of many nieces and nephews
Proud union carpenter with Local 1185.
Ken was a man of many talents but Master of only 1 = Carpentry.
He was a man of few words but when he spoke, you listened.
Professional swim teacher.
Coffee and cookies are what made him tick.
"Not gone forever – Just gone fishing"
Visitation Sunday 2-7 p.m.
Funeral Monday 10:45 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL to St. George Church, Mass 11:30 a.m.
Interment private
In lieu of flowers, donations to Chicago Mercy Associates, 10024 S. Central Avenue, Chicago, IL 60655 would be appreciated.

Many memories of cousins Porter´s and Pastwa´s growing up at 52nd Justine. Always enough of us to "pal" around while growing up there.
Snowball fights, taking buses to Museum of Science & Industry, softball in the alley, Fat´s Candy Store, Sherman Park, running down Ashland Ave. and many more. WOW!
Ken and my brother Jack were always carousing together...trying (awkwardly) to talk to the girls in the neighborhood and then chase us away for following them and laughing! Kids!!!
So years have passed, but the memories are still there and Ken...always with a smile and a pat-on the back even many years later when we´d see each other.
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Linda and Ken´s children and grandchildren, cousins David, Chris and Jeanne and many who have lost a dear friend.
Rest In Peace Ken!

Ken called me abt 2months ago, out of the blue, after no contact for abt
60 years. We paled around as teenagers in the old neighborhood and
lost contact for all that time. I really was glad to hear from him and we
brought up memories of past, together that I forgot.I am so sorry for
all his family as this is a total shock to all. God Bless, RIP Ken
