Kenneth Bland Powell, 90, of Olympia Washington, passed away on October 28th, 2025. Kenny was born July 24th, 1935 to Joseph Chester and Mae Ruth Powell in Dallas, Texas. After graduating high school he attended the McNay Art Institute in San Antonio. He then moved to California where he met his first wife, Sue Tuttle. Kenny and Sue had one child, Kendal. Sue passed away after a long illness and Kenny then met his second wife Lynn, and soon after the family moved to Washington. Kenny could make, fix, and design anything he put his mind to including multiple beautiful pieces of furniture and artwork. He was a model railroad and airplane enthusiast, who designed and built his own models. Kenny retired in 2000 and he and his wife Lynn took off on an 8 year adventure, traveling around the United States full time in their motor home. They eventually settled back in Olympia. Kenny was a marvelously kind man and amazing dad. He was also a fabulous cook, who could whip up any dish. His granddaughter always described him as a snazzy dresser. Kenny was a prince of a man who will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him. Kenny is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lynn, his daughter Kendal Furnas (Steve), Granddaughter Elyse, Grandson Austin (Analie), Great Granddaughter Poppy, Nieces, Erin Middleton (Adam) and Kelsey Middleton (Kyle) and Grand Nieces and Nibbling Nora, AJ, and Emilia.
