A ROAD WELL TRAVELED....

Kenneth Rax was born on February 5, 1941, to the union of Norman Rax Sr. and Elvia Armster Rax. On November 10, 2025, the sun did not dim its light on him, but rather it shined with brilliant light. The chapter of his earthly life came to a close, and his heavenly life began.

He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Kenneth attended schools in Rapides Parish.

A LEGACY FOREVER REMEMBERED....

In 1964, Kenneth completed his apprenticeship in the bricklaying trade, guided by a demanding mentor dedicated to making a difference. At the age of 23, Kenneth began his 40+ year career in Masonry construction. Over the years, Kenneth meticulously constructed numerous commercial buildings and elegant homes in Alexandria and its nearby communities, and even out of state. He was known for his attention to detail, always ensuring perfection in every job.

To ensure his legacy followed him, Kenneth later became and trained his son, self-employed several family members and friends as bricklayers, who are now successful and productive in the trade.

Kenneth was united in Holy Matrimony to June Joshua on August 10, 1963, and to this union, Kenneth's most rewarding endeavor was being a father to his two spoiled, beautiful children Gingerla and Kenneth Jay Rax, making sure they knew how much he loved them every moment that he shared with them. Kenneth and June remained married for 62 years, and they enjoyed traveling together and visiting their grandchildren.

Kenneth was a loving husband, excellent father, amazing grandfather and great-grandfather, and a caring neighbor.

He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and ten (10) brothers and sisters. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his wife June, 1 daughter Gingerla Rax-Perkins (Dana) of University Place, Washington, son, Kenneth Jurrell Rax, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 4 sisters in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, mothers of his grandchildren, friends, and associates.
