Kenneth Allen Reid, age 61, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at home.
He was born on October 17, 1962 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to Robert C. Reid and the late Carol Ann (Downs) Reid.
Kenneth served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Clifton Sprague. He was trained there as a printer which he practiced early in his working career.
He was formerly employed by LECOM and Spectrum as an electrician for several years prior to retirement.
Kenneth was a "jack of all trades". He could always fix what was broken or add to what may have been missing. Kenneth had a passion for woodworking especially home decor and birdhouses. He was a talented cook, baker, and artist creating beautiful sketches and designs all which he inherited from his mother. He deeply enjoyed the times fishing and golfing with his father. Kenneth loved his family and friends, especially his daughters and grandchildren who will all miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Keith Edward Reid.
Kenneth is survived by his father; daughters, Gabbriele Reid (Gavin), Isabelle Schultz (Jonathan), and Kasinda Reid; grandchildren, Kinslee, Harper, and one on the way; sister, Deborah Reid; nephew, Tory Deakin; and niece, Kendal Deakin.
Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday June 15th from noon till 2:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Erie VA Medical Center, 135 East 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
