Kenneth Brooks Reisinger Sr., beloved brother, father, and grandfather, went home to be with his Savior, June 29, 2025 at UPMC Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. Born November 11, 1952 to Brooks and Alice (Butler) Reisinger, Ken attended the Newport school system and graduated from Bloomsburg High School, class of 1970. Surviving are five children: Kenneth B. Reisinger Jr. (Nichole) of Bloomsburg, Kathrine Detwiler (Andrew) Catawissa, Kacey Brooks Listen (Aaron) Iowa, Mychael Grimm (Charles) Carlisle, Jamey Reisinger of Carlisle; seven grandchildren: Brooks, Reagan, Brinliee, Luke, Gabriel, Jethro and Indigo. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew. He has four surviving siblings: Carol Thorn of Newport, Linda Belmont (Richard) Brooksville, FL, Leslie Swigart (Don) Newville and Robert Reisinger of Newport.

Ken played baseball on the Green Hornets team in little league and was an acolyte for the

Methodist Church in Newport. He was an accomplished pole vaulter at Bloomsburg High School and held the record of 12 1/12 feet for many years. Besides baseball, he loved playing golf and enjoyed working as a greens keeper at various golf courses, having completed a program in the field at Penn State. He also managed May’s Drive-In on the island in Sunbury and later worked as a laborer for Stephen F. Peters Masonry and a truck driver for Roadway. Ken was one of the kindest and sweetest men ever! He was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor. He did hilarious imitations, especially of the Three Stooges and his favorite movie was Caddy Shack. He loved music, his favorite band was Hot Tuna, whose concerts he enjoyed.

A private family service and celebration of life will be held at his sister’s house in Newport.
