Kenneth Dean Royster, 51, of South Beloit, IL, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2024. Born on December 27, 1972, in Rockford, IL, the son of Norman Royster and Judy Vermillion. Kenneth married the love of his life, Joni LaPointe, on March 23, 2002, in Las Vegas, NV. Kenneth was a graduate of Boylan Catholic High School Class of 1990. He was a machinist at Zenith Cutter for 33 years. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Cubs fan and a huge Grateful Dead fan. Kenneth also ran a marathon of 26.2 miles, and he was very proud of that accomplishment. He loved the outdoors, his five dogs, and his annual trips to Tamarack Timbers Resort in Eagle River, WI, and Las Vegas, NV.
Ken will be dearly missed by his wife, Joni Royster; his son, Nick LaPointe (Victoria Kirsch); parents, Norm (Judy) Royster; mother, Judy Vermillion; best friend/brother, Joe Royster; in-laws, John and Judy LaPointe; brother-in-law, Wayne LaPointe; sister-in-law, Ashley Jacobson; nephews, Devin and Drake Jacobson; and numerous extended family. Predeceased by step-father, Roy Vermillion; and brother-in-law, David Wolfe.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Rockton Inn, 102 E. Main St., Rockton, IL 61072.

So sorry to hear of your loss of Ken.We had a lot of fun with you to.He will be missed, but never forgotten. If you need anything call.
We will get together when I get back.
God please take care of your new angel . Our prayers for you and family. He had a good life, be thankful for the time you had together.
