Ken was my first supervisor when I started at BG&E in 1980 and I worked with him from then until he retired in 2000. During that time, as I recall, any meeting we would attend, he was always the smartest person in the room, as well as the most empathetic.
My favorite memory was after he retired and we were in the middle of a stressful NRC inspection and trying to decipher some of the complex calculations he had authored. After we were on the phone with him awhile, we heard children's voices in the background and he just said "Grandkids are here, gotta go", and hung up. He knew we had enough information at that point to figure things out, and as usual, he was right.

I'm sad to hear of Kenny's passing. I enjoyed working and learning from him.
Even though I wasn't an engineer, he still respected my opinion.
I especially enjoyed our morning "walk-downs" to get coffee, once he found his coffee cup.
He is missed.

Please accept my condolences to the entire family. I worked with Ken for over 35 years at BG&E then at Calvert Cliffs. You couldn't know a better man and friend. Always difficult to hear such news. Since I retired shortly after Ken I moved away and lost touch with so many friends.
God bless the family.
