Kenneth Purnell Smith

KENNETH PURNELL SMITH, 53, of Atlantic City, departed this life peacefully Sunday, March 13, 2011, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, with his loved ones at his side. He was employed as a cook for Richard Stockton College. He also worked for Cedar Food Markets Inc., and Showboat Casino. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, dancing, music, and must of all spending quality time with his family. He is predeceased by: his father, John R. Smith, Sr.; grandmother, Virgil O. Lofti; second mother, Phyllis L. Allen-Smiley. He is survived by: his mother, Mary R. Loftin-Smith; wife, Brenda; four children, Terria Smith, Christine Burdette, Marshall Campbell and kenneth Smith, Jr.; five brothers, Anthony, Robert, Tony, Derrick and Stephen; seven sisters, LaVelle, Regina, Celeste, Verneice, Desiree and Janele; five grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
