Kenneth Ray Smith, 78, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest suddenly at his home August 23, 2025.
Ken Smith was born October 5, 1946 in Great Bend, Kansas. He was raised by his grandparents Bill and Ollie Mae Dansby. Ken formerly worked for Royal Typewriter in Springfield, he stamped concrete in Neosho, MO, the Aurora Shoe Factory in Aurora, MO and BF Goodrich in Joplin, MO. He worked at Freeman Health System as a grounds keeper then a driver of the FREDS Bus on the Freeman Campus until he retired in 2015. Ken loved traveling, camping, cooking, miniature golf and bowling. One of his favorite things to do was to have a good time teasing especially his boys. Ken was a faith member of the Racine Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of Sue Smith; four children, Jason Smith and Dakota Smith; one sister Terri Schmidt and a host of friends.
Ken was preceded in death by Bill and Ollie Mae Dansby, his grandparents, who raised him and one brother Stan Smith.
The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am, Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Racine Christian Church. A celebration of life memorial service will be held following visitation at 11am.
