Kenneth Michael Stephens, age 74, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday June 11, 2025.
Born on October 7, 1950, he grew up in Marietta, Georgia with his parents Clyde Edwards Stephens and Mary Elizabeth Holmes, and his 2 brothers Edward and Wesley Stephens. He graduated from Wheeler High School, class of '69. He pursued a career as an electrician for around 50 years, retiring from General Motors after 26 years.
Ken gave his life to Jesus when he was in his late 20's and faithfully followed him all the days of his life. He served in many ways over the years at his church. He married his wife, Jeannie, on August 30, 1980 and they've enjoyed almost 45 years together. They have 2 daughters, Kimberly and Kristen. Ken was a patient and steady man. He was a faithful husband, supportive father, and loyal friend. Everyone that met or interacted with Ken experienced his warmth, his peaceful presence, and an ear ready to listen. He didn't have to say much to convey his love. He helped anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie, his daughter Kimberly and her fiancé Joshua Rallapati, his daughter Kristen and her husband Dustin Sosebee, his grandchildren Rooks, Elias, and Jude Sosebee, his brother Wesley Stephens, and many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.
We will celebrate his life on Sunday June 15 at 4pm at Mt Zion Baptist Church, visitation at the church from 2-4pm.
