Bobby Ghorley Obituary
Bobby Ghorley, age 88, of Canton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his residence. Bobby was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and a 58+ years Past Master of the Sharptop Lodge #680. He enjoyed many years of being a Yaarab Shriner.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Smith and Rev. Wayne Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at South Canton Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mae Ghorley, Sister: Betty Cook, Brother: Billy Ghorley, and Brother: Kenneth Ghorley
Survivors include:
Wife of 61+ years - Charlotte Cantrell Ghorley
Son - Bruce Dobson and wife Anne
Son - Tim Dobson and wife Christine
Daughter - Jackie Thornton, Canton, GA
Grandchildren - Joseph Cain, Jonathan Cain, Alex Dobson, and Lucas Dobson,
Great Grandchildren - Jack Cain, Max Cain, Shepherd Cain, Zephyr Dobson-Defenbaugh, Phoenix Dobson-Defenbaugh
Sister - Pat Dickerson
Brother - Eddie Ghorley and wife Janice
Several nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members also survive.
