Mr. Kenneth Suddeth, 95, a lifelong resident of Hubbard, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at First Baptist Church of Hubbard with Rev. Ricky Woodall, Mr. Jay Thomas and Masonic Brother Thomas Walker officiating. Masonic graveside services with military honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 14 at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Kenneth was born on September 15, 1929 in
Hubbard, TX to Gordon and Kate Suddeth. He lived all 95 years in his beloved Hubbard. He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1946 and was a proud member of the 1945 Fighting Hubbard Jaguar Bi-District Football Team going undefeated!
After High School, Kenneth joined the Army and returned home to Hubbard after his service.
He fell in love with a beautiful girl in Coolidge, TX, his beloved Anna, and they married on September 5, 1952. Their married life would span 72 years, raising their family in Hubbard. Kenneth worked for the United States Post office for 30 years serving as the Hubbard Postmaster for most of that time.
Kenneth's service to his community was impressive. Over the years he served on the Hubbard ISD School Board. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department for many years, serving as Fire Chief and various other capacities. Kenneth was a long-time member of the Lion's Club serving as an officer for several years. He was a past President of the Hubbard Ex-Students Association. Kenneth rode in many Hubbard Homecoming parades as Parade Marshall. He also served on the Fairview Cemetery Association Board. Kenneth was a proud Mason and long-time member of Hubbard Masonic Lodge #530.
Kenneth loved his church, First Baptist Hubbard, and was a member for 87 years. He served as a deacon for 59 years and as church secretary for several years.
Kenneth was honored by the Hubbard Chamber of Commerce in 2017 as a Hubbard Hall of Fame Honoree.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Opal Suddeth West, brother, Gene Suddeth (Adele) and nephew, Randy Suddeth.
Survivors: Wife of 72 years, Anna Denton Suddeth; daughters, Kathy Pettigrew (Buddy) and Cindy Fulton (Johnny); grandchildren, Kenneth Patrick Green (Brittany), Amanda Alder (Paul), John Andrew Fulton (Janette) and Collin Fulton; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, Raider and Brooklyn Green, Tanner and Kate Alder; niece, Claudine Suddeth Trogden; and cherished caregiver, Toni Williams.
Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Fulton, John Andrew Fulton, Kenneth Patrick Green, Collin Fulton, Raider Green, Paul Alder, Tanner Alder and Bob Rainey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Walker, Buddy Pettigrew, Mike Denton and his Masonic Brothers from Hubbard Lodge #530.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association.
