Ken Teeters passed away at the age of 86 at Smith Mill Health Campus in New Albany, Ohio on Sunday May 11, 2025.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Fillmore Virgil and Ursula Louise Teeters. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis (Teeters) Hoffmann and brother Robert E. Teeters. Ken is survived by his brother and his sister-in-law, Walter and Teresa Teeters as well as brother-in-law, Larry Hoffmann. Ken will be missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, as well.
Ken graduated from St. Mary's Grade School in German Village and St. Charles Preparatory High School. After graduating from St. Charles, Ken enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving, he learned the ins and outs of controlling and using different radar systems.
After being honorably discharged, Ken enrolled in engineering classes at The Ohio State University. After graduating from OSU, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he worked his entire career as a research engineer for IBM.
Ken remained in Raleigh where he was active in his parish as a member of the choir and an extraordinary minister bringing communion to shut ins.
Ken spent his free time in Raleigh singing with a barbershop quartet. He was an avid fan of Ohio State Football and North Carolina State basketball teams.
After 50+ years, Ken returned home to be with and near his family.
The Teeters and Hoffman family would like to thank The Avalon of New Albany, Ohio where Ken enjoyed new friendships and pleasant surroundings. We would also like to thank Smith Mill Health Campus especially the nurses and aids with Capital City Hospice Care who made Ken comfortable and at peace until his passing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel 6440 S. High St. Private Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The K family introduced us to Kenny over 25 years ago, and always welcomed and included Kenny in all the family gatherings from birthday parties, christenings, and holidays. We always looked forward to seeing him. He became part of a large extended family here in NC. May God bless and rest his soul.

Kenneth Teeters is the first cousin of my father, William B. Carlisle Sr.
One Christmas, Kenny took some pictures of the family. I have two pictures of me as a baby that I treasure to this day. Thank you for being kind.
