Kenneth Genial Turner was born September 19, 1933, and departed this walk of life Tuesday September 23, 2025, reaching the age of 92 years. He was the son of the late Travis and Martha (Childers) Turner.

He is survived by six children, Wanda Darlene (Clyde) Pyles, Linda Turner, Arvie Turner, Belinda Dyer, Jordan Turner, and Virginia Catron. Also, two surviving sisters: Ovalene (Lena) Sinclair of Indiana and Zona May Grimsley of Illinois.

Preceding Kenneth in death were his parents, Travis and Martha Turner. Son-in Law: Tim Dyer. Brothers: Everette, Estel, Oscar, Mancel, and Ralph Turner. Sisters: Lizzie Thomas, Cora, Lucy, Rusha Turner and Flora Winfrey.

Kenneth was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Kenneth's family grew over the years from six children to a large family of twenty-one grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and four great, great grandchildren.

Kenneth professed his faith when he was in his early forties and ministered for Christ for many years until his health began to fail. He never shied away from hard work and always provided for his large family. Kenneth was a humble man and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was the happiest and felt closer to God when he was communing with nature. He loved growing large gardens each year. He would can and freeze his harvest; but was so generous as to share a large portion of it with family and friends. Kenneth was also an avid deer hunter and skillfully processed his own meat.

As of Tuesday September 23, 2025, he is now communing with our Lord and Savior! Kenneth may have passed on, but his spirit will forever be in our hearts!

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 11 AM – 1 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
