Kenneth Theodore "Kenny" Vosholler

Kenneth Theodore "Kenny" Vosholler, 75, of Sparta, IL; born on September 3, 1949 in Breese, IL the son of Andrew and Lyra (née, Santel) Vosholler; passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.
Kenny was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a devout catholic, serving in many different areas throughout Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta. Kenny was a Eucharistic/Extraordinary Minister, serving Holy Communion to homebound individuals. He traveled to Addington Place, but it was not limited to one facility. Kenny would travel to many different homes for those individuals wishing to receive Communion. He was a pillar of the community in more ways than one, always serving with a warm heart. Kenny helped with many different local fundraisers; he was particularly fond of the fish fries during Lent. He served as a Parish Council Member, trustee, and President. Kenny was proud to be a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, serving as former Grand Knight and current Treasurer, which he did for many years. Not only did Kenny serve the church, but he enjoyed being the Amish Uber, helping them get to each job. He helped transport the Amish Community from place to place for many years. The Life of a Party, a jokester with good intentions, Kenny was the person who could put a smile on your face in the worst situation. He will always be loved, cherished, and missed in the Sparta Community.
He is survived by four sisters – Jeanette (husband, Gary) Welten of Steeleville, IL, Diane (husband, Terry) Vosholler of Austin, TX, Kathleen (husband, John) Schaefer of Kirkwood, MO, and Roseann Bierman of Sparta, IL; Nephews, nieces, numerous cousins, and one aunt.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law – Randall Bierman; niece – Patricia McAdams.

The Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta, IL on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Charles and Father Iheme officiating. Committal Services will take place at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta, IL.
