Kenneth Richard Warfield, affectionately known as "Beaver," was born on July 10, 1939, to the late George Medford Warfield and Della Elizabeth Condon Warfield of the Neck District, Cambridge, Maryland. He passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, with his family by his side.

Beaver had a distinguished career spanning various roles. He began his professional journey as a car salesman at Levi Chevy in Federalsburg, Maryland. Following this, he dedicated 12 years to Kerr McGee Corporation, in Cambridge, Maryland, spending eight years as a dispatcher and four years as a sales representative. For 13 years, he held the position of warehouse supervisor at Konsyl Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Easton, Maryland. During his tenure there, he was recognized for his exceptional skills in inventory control with a Letter of Recognition for Outstanding Performance. After retiring from a fulfilling career, Beaver continued to work part-time, delivering crabs and oysters for Richard and Joann Wilson of Soft & Salty Seafood in Ragged Point.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Beaver had a vibrant personality. He was known for his playful nature, always making people laugh and enjoying light-hearted pranks. His nickname, "Beaver," was lovingly attributed to him by a co-worker, referencing the sidekick from the classic 1940s Western, Red Ryder. In his younger years, Beaver enjoyed playing guitar in a local 3-piece band, cherished cruising the roads with friends and enjoying a few cold beverages, leaving behind cherished memories that will be fondly remembered.

Beaver proudly served his country, enlisting in the Army National Guard in March 1957. Over the next eight years, he fulfilled his military duties, starting as a Private First Class in Company C 2nd Battalion 115th Infantry as a cook, and later re-enlisting in 1960 as a Sergeant and Supply Sergeant while also working as a dispatcher/shipping clerk for Coastal Foods in Cambridge, Maryland. He was honorably discharged in March 1965, having contributed meaningfully to his country.

Surviving him are his daughters, Kathy Littleton (Sean) of Delmar, Delaware, and Cindy LeCates (Tom) of Laurel, Delaware. He is also survived by his brother, "Junior" George Medford Warfield, Jr. of Berlin, Maryland along with other numerous family members.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, located at 308 High Street, Cambridge, Maryland, beginning 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Hickman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Dorchester Memorial Park, 5391 Aireys Rd, Cambridge, Maryland at 2:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Wheatley, Marshall Wingate, Danny Windsor, Sarge Johnson, Tom LeCates and David Belt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beaver’s name can be sent to the Neck District Volunteer Fire Company, (Att: Diana Gray) 954 Cooks Point Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.

He leaves behind a world made brighter by his laughter and kindness, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
