Kenneth G. Waters of Montgomery, NY passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. He was 85.
The son of the late John C. Waters and Jenny Hinksman, he was born March 15, 1938 in Waltham, MA.
Ken loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren immensely. He was strong willed and stubborn at times, but also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor, always keeping the kids laughing. He was an avid fisherman who loved a good story and was a regular at Dunkin Donuts. Ken was a life member of the Coldenham Fire Department for 36 years, where he was known as "Kenny". He was a long-haul driver for National Carriers, Schneider Transport and worked for 25 years in the Newburgh Maintenance Division driving snowplows and other heavy equipment for the NYS Thruway Authority.
He is survived by his wife Annamarie Waters, daughter Nicole Wentworth, daughter Noelle Wentworth, daughter Nichelle Wentworth, stepson Frank Perrego & wife Betsy, stepson Michael Perrego & wife Teresa, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way!
Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2024, 3pm-6pm, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.
Firematic and funeral services will follow at 6pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Coldenham Fire Department, 511 Coldenham Road, Walden, NY 12586.
