Kenneth B. "Bake" Wayne, 89 of Cowen passed away Friday at CAMC General Division, Charleston.
Bake was born December 24, 1935 in Sutton and was the son of the late Curtis and Rhoda McLaughlin Wayne. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bragg Wayne and his brothers, Mack, William, John, Hoy and Seldon Wayne.
Bake was a Christian by faith and attended Halo Church; he was a retired coal miner and security guard and enjoyed hunting.
Surviving are his daughter, Linda D. Wayne of East Bend, NC; his girlfriend, Goldie McClure and many extended family members.
Service will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Lovely officiating. Burial will follow at Mack Wayne Family Cemetery, Dennison Run Road, Cowen. Friends may join the family for visitation one hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
