Kenneth was the beloved husband of the late Linda (nee: Schweigert) Whalen (2020). Loving father of Jacki Whalen-Dion and her husband Richard of Hawthorne and Michael Whalen and his wife Brianne of Pompton Plains. Dear grandfather of Brianna Dion, Jason Dion, Michael Dion, Caroline Whalen, Emme Whalen, Aiden Kempenski and Katey Kempenski. Dearest brother of Edward Whalen and his wife Jeanne and the late Judith Heath. He is also survived by his many dear nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8pm.

Ken was my brother's friend from school. I am so sorry to hear about Ken's passing. I know he reached out to my brother Vincent when he was sick and we really appreciated that gesture of kindness. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your family. Blessings,
