Kenneth Eugene Whitfield Sr

Kenneth Eugene Whitfield Sr., age 80, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1945, in Alabaster, Alabama, and spent many years building a life along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Kenneth was husband to Sheryl Whitfield, his wife of 40 years. He was the proud father of Tammy Whitfield McKinley (Jeff) and Kenneth Eugene Whitfield Jr (Nikki), and a loving stepfather to Jeff (Rebecca) and Jason (Jeanine) Gammill. He is survived by many grandchildren whom he loved dearly, as well as extended family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

A highly skilled craftsman, Kenneth dedicated his career to building custom homes and businesses across the region. His greatest passion was detailed trim and finish work, and his craftsmanship can be seen in countless structures throughout Alabama and the Gulf Coast. He was known for his steady hands, strong work ethic, and deep Christian faith, which guided him throughout his life.

Honoring his wishes, no formal service will be held. He will be cremated, and his family will remember him privately in their own ways and moments.
