BOLTON LANDING - Kenneth Robert Willenbruch, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his home.

Born on March 18, 1931, in the Bronx, New York City, to the late Walter and Marguerite (Castellot) Willenbruch.

Ken graduated from Lynbrook High School in Lynbrook Long Island. Following graduation, Ken enlisted into the United States Army in 1950 and served until 1953. While serving during the Korean Conflict he received a Purple Heart. After serving, he returned to school to earn his bachelor's degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.

For many years, Ken worked for Bell System or also known as Western Electric as a computer programmer, until he retired in 1991.

On May 6, 1990, Ken married Joyce Lafferty in Plainview, Long Island.

Ken enjoyed watching sports, boating, woodworking, traveling, reading and being in the Adirondacks.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Joyce; his children, David Willenbruch, Debra Smith and her husband, Scott, Edward Lafferty and his wife, Bonnie, Joanne Lafferty, Theresa Weinberg and her husband, Stephen, Keith Lafferty and his wife, Karina; his grandchildren, Riley Smith, Ian and Maggie Lafferty, Ben and Courtney Weinberg; his brother, Henry Willenbruch.

At Kenneth's request there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be conducted in the spring at a date and time to be announced.
