Kenneth Williams Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 9, 2025.
Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Williams, age 73, born in Nashville, TN, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Alive Hospice surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. He was married to the love of his life, Therese, for 53 years and had two sons whom he was so proud of, Kenny Jr. and Joe, as well as a granddaughter, Ava, who brought so much joy to his life.

Kenny attended Antioch High School, where he participated in football, track and competed on the gymnastics' team. He loved to hunt, fish, play golf and especially be in nature. He often said walking in the woods is where he found peace and knew himself and God best.

For 25 years he volunteered in the Rainbows program at St. Edward School and also planned the 6th grade environmental trip for many years. He coached Kenny and Joe's summer baseball teams and enjoyed hunting and target shooting with them. Kenny also had a gift for transforming a piece of wood into a beautiful work of art and he made beautiful custom woodwork pieces for people all over Nashville.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, John Williams and his mother, Frances Williams Robinson and his step-father, Jim Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Therese St. Charles Williams; sons, Kenneth Wayne Williams, Jr. and John Joseph Williams (Nissa); granddaughter, Ava Joy Williams; sister, Lori Fant (Brad) and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. followed by his interment at Calvary Cemetery.

Kenny and Therese hold a special place in our hearts. When I first started teaching at St Bernard in 1969, Therese was a senior and class leader. She went into teaching and became a well respected principal at St Edward. She encouraged our daughter Ellen to teach there where she stayed 20 years. There Kenny was always around the students and well loved and respected by everyone. He was always by Therese“s side whatever role she had as Academic Dean at Ryan or superintendent of the Catholic schools. Theirs was a marriage of devotion and love for each other.
