Kenny Bason Obituary
Kenny Wade Bason, 61, of Valley Mills passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 in Waco. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor David Cozart officiating. There will be a private burial at Frost Cemetery. Kenny will be in state for viewing on Monday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. if you wish to come by and pay respects.
Kenny was born February 2, 1963 in Houston, Texas. He is the son of Billy Bason. Kenny was a long-time resident of the Waco and Valley Mills areas. He worked for Time Warner Cable/Charter/Spectrum for 37 years, most recently as an ISP Engineer before retiring earlier this year.
He is preceded in death by his dad Billy Bason.
Kenny is survived by his children, Amber Gates, Josh Bason, Rebecca Womack, Amanda Thompson, Shawn Holland, and Justin Holland and their spouses and partners; seven grandchildren, Katlyn, Marcos Jr., Makenzie, Madi, Carter, CJ, and Abby; along with nieces, Beth, Alex, and Avery Zimmerman.
Kenny's heart was as big as his smile - kind, compassionate, and full of love for all living beings, especially his furry friends Lucky and Nova. His warm presence could light up a room and lift even the heaviest of spirits. He was a true treasure to all who knew him.
