Kenny Dolan

Kenneth "Kenny" Jay Dolan was born June 7, 1981, in Huntsville, Arkansas and passed from this life, suddenly, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his home outside of St. Mary's, Iowa at the young age of 43 years.
Kenny was born to Steve Dolan and Patty (Kerns) Dolan, and the family moved to Macksburg, Iowa in 1989. They moved to New Virginia in 1993. Kenny graduated from Interstate 35 High School in 2000. Kenny married Molly Susan Hanrahan on April 22, 2006, at St Patrick's Church Irish Settlement. She was a senior in high school when they began dating. They were blessed with two children, Hailey, 2008, and Raylan, 2011.
Kenny was employed by T. Hildreth Boiler Company. He loved working with his hands. He had been a mechanic since childhood, sometimes he got paid for it.
Kenny had an infectious grin. It was equal parts, being ornery and indicative of a big heart. He had tremendous perseverance. It showed itself in matching the toughness times required, in his quick and sharp wit on whatever life was serving up, and in his hope for the future.
He loved his family and took great pride in his kids. He prided himself in his work ethic. He would abruptly change plans to help family, friends, or neighbors. He especially valued his closest relationships and in them could show great sensitivity. He had a full throttle approach to everything he did and in a lot of ways was still a kid at heart. Larger than life, and its definitions, he was resilient in moving himself and his family forward on the path in front of them.
Kenny leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Molly Dolan of St Mary's, daughter, Hailey Sue Dolan, and son, Raylan Jay Dolan. Also his father, Steve Dolan, of New Virginia, brother, Jim (Betty) Dolan of New Virginia, brother, Shawn M Eads of Macksburg, brother, Billy (Katie) Eads of Cumming, IA, sister, Beth Fletchall of Macksburg, sister, Tisha Dolan of Des Moines, IA, sister, Ashley (Krystal) Wilson of Fayetteville, AR, sister, Sam (Allen) Ruth of Truro, IA, brother, Lanny (Makayla) Dolan of Truro, IA, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding Kenny in death was his mother, Patty Dolan, sister-in-law, Isabella Eads, grandparents Kenneth and Helen Ballard, grandparents Merl LeRoy and Ann Kerns.
Funeral Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Friday January 24, 2025 at 11:00 am.
Kenny's family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday evening at Kale Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the St. Patricks Cemetery
