It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Kenny Sinkus, 53, of Weymouth, MA, formerly of South Boston, MA on August 30, 2025.
Born on January 03, 1972, in Fort Benning, GA, Kenny was the beloved son of Stanley (Butch) Sinkus and Nancy Hill. From the very start, he had a presence that was larger than life. Though he carried himself with strength, behind the tough exterior was a gentle, playful, goofy, and good-natured soul – always ready with a witty joke, warm smile, or a great big bear hug. To know Kenny was to know the kindest heart, a man who loved nothing more than time spent surrounded by family and friends, who loved and was loved fiercely by those around him.
Kenny grew up in South Boston, where he had fond memories spent in their treasured triplex on East Sixth Street, accompanying his father to Chippewas football practices, and riding his Harley motorcycle around town. He grew up with a deep love for craftsmanship, creativity and ingenuity, traits that carried him through his life and shaped his passions. Kenny built a career in construction alongside his father where he was able to put his talents to use and his hard work earned the respect of many. He was a member of Laborers Union Local 22.
Beyond his work, there was no device he would not tinker with or hobby project he could not build, and he enjoyed making sentimental creations for his family, especially his beloved nieces, and friends that we will hold close to our hearts. Kenny was an admirer of his Lithuanian heritage and had hoped to visit someday. When Kenny was not building something, working on his truck, or spending time with his family, you could find him relaxing by watching one of his favorite movies, often able to quote most lines with perfection.
Kenny was a devoted father to Jacob Sinkus of Lancaster, who will carry forward his dad's strength, wisdom, and kindness, and honor him by living each day guided by the love and memories they shared. Kenny is survived by his mother Nancy Hill and her husband Tom Farina of Hingham, his father Stanley (Butch) Sinkus and his wife Leona McCarthy Sinkus of Stoughton, his four sisters Dinna Sinkus of Weymouth, Sarah Blythe and her husband Jon Michael Blythe of Weymouth, Emma Sinkus of Charlestown, and Madeline Sinkus of Manhattan Beach, CA, and his beloved nieces Tatum Blythe and Monroe Blythe of Weymouth. He also leaves behind countless cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Kenny is pre-deceased by his adored Springer Spaniel named Jax, who we know is wagging his tail in joy to be reunited again.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be invited to attend and share in honoring his memory.
Kenny's time with us was cut far too short, but those precious years were filled with laughter, love, and memories that will strengthen us during this devastating loss and carry us through until we meet again. His spirit will live on in all those who were lucky enough to call him a father, son, brother, "Unc-ie", or friend. He will be deeply missed.

RIP Kenny. I have lots of fond memories of us playing football at Southie High and the laughs we shared listening to Adam Sandler on the radio while driving up to Montreal. Lots of laughs my friend.

Sending my prayers and condolences to the Sinkus family. Kenny will be greatly missed
