Kenosha "Chine" Maurice

On Monday, October 21, 2024, Kenosha Keoka "Chine" Maurice, transitioned this life and is now resting in the presence of the Lord. Kenosha Keoka "Chine" Maurice was born March 26, 1979 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Wilbert Ruth and Lynn Maurice. Kenosha accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. Kenosha was educated in the Orleans Parish School System. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, and also an employee of Delaware North (Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport).
Chine, as she was affectionately known, was the life of the party. She could light up any room she walked into with her big, beautiful smile. Everyone Chine would encounter with would fall in love with her uplifting spirit. Kenosha Keoka "Chine" Maurice will be missed by so many.
Kenosha is proceeded in death by her parents, Wilbert Ruth and Lynn Maurice; brother, Eric Maurice, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Alex Ruth, Sr. and Marth Ruth; her maternal grandparents, Mercedes Stevenson and James Madison; and one niece, A'mari Livas.
Kenosha leaves to cherish her love and memories to her daughter, Naequan Smith; godchildren, Wernell Carmouche, Mikyi Sherman, Tiane Thornton, and Ice Sylvester; brothers, Deric Maurice (devoted sister-in-law, Keiyata Maurice), Kendrick Maurice, Audoniss Madison, Sr. (Markita Robertson); loving sisters, Danielle Maurice and Shantrice Sanders Clark (Leon); nieces and nephews, Eric Livas (Ariana); Deranesha Ratcliff, Dah saan Maurice, Ken Maurice, Johan Stewart, Kendrick Williams, Hyren Junius, Hyron Junius, Audoniss Madison, Jr., Jacob Robertson, Jamarr Smith, Frank'e Maurice, Diaria Maurice, Liberty Maurice, Kenaja Maurice, Shaniya Sanders, Darvin Sanders, and Lawrille Johnson; great nieces and nephews, A'cire Livas, A'mani Livas, Harley Gibson, Zyriah Jernigan, Royal Conley, and Eric Livas, Jr.; uncles and aunts, Jerry Madison, Calvin Stevenson, Sr., Glenda Stevenson, Sheila Stevenson, Mary Kim Sylvester (Joseph), Pamela Young, and Carol Bernard; devoted, best friends and sisters, Kennitra Lewis, Judy Smith, and Tiffany Thornton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 9, 2024, 10:00AM, at New Hope Baptist Church, 1807 Reverend John Raphael Jr Way, NOLA. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour of service. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
