Kent Douglas Biles

Kent Douglas Biles, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away at his home on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the age of 63.
Kent was born the son of Larry and Theressa (Snider) Biles on November 23, 1962 in San Diego, California.
Kent graced the world with his adventurous spirit, great sense of humor, and unwavering dedication. Kent was a beacon of light who turned ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. A lifelong KU basketball fan, Kent's enthusiasm for the game was infectious, as was his love for the great outdoors. He spent his youth along the banks of the river in Drury, KS, an experience that fostered his adventurous soul and ignited his passion for boating on Table Rock Lake and throughout the Ozarks.
A spirited individual, Kent dedicated over 30 years to the aircraft industry as an inspector, a testament to his diligence and commitment. Unfortunately, he had to retire earlier than expected due to health issues. However, a few months ago Kent did get to fulfill his dream of panning for gold, an achievement that brought him immense joy. Even in his ornery moments, Kent was always in good spirits, sharing his wit and humor with those around him. His commitment to health and fitness was inspiring, and he continued to prioritize wellness until his illness made it no longer possible.
Kent is survived by his beloved children, Chase Biles of Wichita KS; and Brooke Biles of Wichita, KS; and his sister, Christy Boucher of Argonia, KS; along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arvin and Pauline Biles; Duane and Arlene Snider; parents, Larry and Theressa Biles; and aunts, Marcia Snider; Royce Creed; and Karel Prilliman.
In memory of Kent, the family asks that you consider making a memorial donation to the Wellington Recreation Center. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home during normal business hours.
A private celebration of Kent's incredible life will be held at a later date. His adventurous spirit, his dedication, and his unique sense of humor have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known him.
