Kent Geffe, age 67, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on January 16, 2025 in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Per Kent's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials in Kent's name may be directed to his family for a later designation. For

Kent Lyndon Geffe was born January 29, 1957 in Charles City, Iowa. He was the youngest of two children born to Herbert and Clarice (Woods) Geffe. Kent grew up in Nashua, Iowa. He furthered his education at Cornell College and the University of Iowa College of Law. After graduation, Kent entered private law practice in Marshalltown, Iowa.
On July 3, 1987, Kent was united in marriage to the love of his life, Barbara Feld (Cox) at Central Christian Church in Marshalltown. They made their home in Marshalltown and raised two children, Jeremiah and Anastasia. Outside of work, Kent joined the Kiwanis Club. Additionally, he was a member of the Iowa Valley Bike Club. In his free time, Kent loved to ride his bicycle. The year he turned 50, he completed 50 century rides. He was enticed by Civil War history, and was interested in all things related to the war. He was an illusionist, taking joy in his magic tricks, enjoyed camping, traveling to see various solar eclipses, and sailing. His family fondly remembers family weekend trips to Lake Red Rock.
Those who are left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Barbara Geffe of Marshalltown, IA; his children, Jeremiah (Tamara) Geffe of Urbandale, IA and Anastasia Geffe of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Kieran Ochs, Emery Ochs, Carter Ochs and Charlotte Geffe; and his brother, Lynn Geffe of Gulf Breeze, FL.
He is preceded and rejoins in death, his parents Herbert and Clarice Geffe.
