Kent Lee Jensen, age 69, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on September 2, 2025.

Kent lived a life rooted in love for family, hard work, and devotion to those around him. He was a proud father and grandfather, whose greatest joy came from time spent with his children, his wife, and his grandchildren.

For 43 years, Kent worked on the Union Pacific Railroad, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Beyond his career, he devoted countless hours to serving others. He spent 20 years with Weber County Search and Rescue, contributing his skills to the climb team and ATV team, and often staying overnight on mountain rescue operations to assist civilians in need. In the mid-1990s and 2000s, he also served as a volunteer firefighter for the city of Washington Terrace for 10 years.

Outside of his work and community service, Kent found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He especially loved riding his Harley-Davidson, and you could often catch him on Sundays, taking a ride with one of his kids. He also had a love for spontaneous adventures, often taking his family to Yellowstone on a whim. Those trips filled with laughter, nature, and togetherness created some of the best memories his family will cherish forever.

Kent is survived by his former wife and lifelong friend, Lucinda Jensen; and his children, Mark Lee Jensen, Blaine Allen Jensen, Keilani Jensen, and Brian D Jensen. He was a beloved grandfather to Madelyn Jensen, Emma Jensen, Aleksandar (Zander) Jensen, and Elowyn (Ellie) Jensen. Kent is also survived by his brother, Clinton Jensen, and sister, Yvonne Samuelson. His legacy of kindness, strength, and humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin D Jensen; mother, Nedra (Daloff) Jensen; brother, Brent Jensen; sister, Colleen Richardson; brother, Dwayne Jensen; and brother, Steven Jensen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Kent’s life and to celebrate the many ways he touched the lives of those around him.
