NILES - Keri Marie Hamley, 46, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at her home.
Keri, affectionately known as “KiKi,” was born June 30, 1979, in Lorain, a daughter of Joseph and Lynne Grombacher Hamley, and came to the Youngstown area as a child.
She was a graduate of Chaney High School and devoted her life to raising and caring for her family, whom she loved deeply.
KiKi was very artistic and had a creative spirit. She especially enjoyed arts and crafts, nail art and expressing herself through handmade creations. She will always be remembered for the beautiful Christmas gifts she lovingly made and graciously shared with her family and friends — gifts that reflected both her talent and her generous heart. Most of all, Kiki enjoyed the time spent and the memories that were made with her family and friends.
Keri leaves to forever cherish her memory her companion and “soul paint” of 22 years, Joe Carpenter, with whom she shared her home; her daughter, Abbie, at home; her mother, Lynne Hamley of Austintown; two sisters, Cindie Hamley-Hughes of Youngstown and Lesa Hamley-Mikolaj (Roy) of Austintown; her uncles, Myron (Monica) Grombacher and Mark Grombacher; nieces and nephews, Tori, Raelynne, Juli, Rachael, Kelcie (Chris), Sarah, David, Matthew (Deryn), Garrett, Sammy (Hailey), and Ryan; great nieces and nephews, Jiraiya "JJ", Brynleigh, Kaiden, Skylin, Mila, Brielle, LaNiah, Peighton, J.T, and Landon. She will also be missed immensely by Joe's family, Terry (Michael) Minor, Jerry (Norma) Carpenter, Chris (Jessica) Carpenter, Amy (Jason) Bertuzzi, Brianna Carpenter and Brennan Sidley; and many extended family members.
Her father, Joseph Hamley, two sisters, Lorie and Colleen Hamley, and a nephew Nicholas. Preceded Keri in death.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m.
Due to KiKi’s sudden passing, the family requests memorial contributions be made, in lieu of flowers, to Kinnick Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
477 North Meridian Road, Youngstown, OH 44509
