Keri was a true California Girl. She loved the sun, sand and surf and rollerskating on the Venice Beach path in the sand. She loved spending year-around summer days at her Grandma Nichol's house on Malibu Beach with her sister Kathy and her dad, where they enjoyed exploring the famous Malibu flat rock in front of the house, searching for starfish, shells and tidepools and observing occasional movie stars strolling along the waters edge.

When she was in grammar school, Keri loved going to her Costello Grandparents, helping grandpa pick apples for grandma's famous applesauce and other culinary delights, She loved playing with friends on the wide streets where every house had a huge Palm Tree and grandma always offered treats.

Keri, her family and friends loved TITO'S TACOS, a corner "whole in the wall" eatery, famous, to this day, for their delicious chips and salsa, burritos and tacos. Keri, Kathy and their mom always ate there on their way to Dodger games, their favorite sport. In 2024, Keri and Kathy attended the World Series, Dodgers vs.Yankees, game 1, where the Dodgers won in epic fashion with a 9th inning Grand Slam, and went on to win the World Series.

Keri attended Venice High School and Santa Monica College and then, realizing her dream, she was accepted to UCLA with a scholarship, She excelled in all her classes, and boldly stood for what she felt was right, including defending her religion and conservative values. She graduated with high honors, Magna Cum Laude, in 1998. Her counselor and teachers told her she would be recommended and accepted to any elite University in the nation to earn a Masters Degree.

Keri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved her group of friends at Westdale I Ward, Santa Monica Stake. They enjoyed participating in many fun activities together; i.e., Roadshow competition and trips to Mexico for interchange with church youth there, as well as parties, and antics, etc. at home.

Keri and sister, Kathy, have enjoyed many years of laughter watching, together, reruns of "I Love Lucy", "The Brady Bunch" and "Three's Company," recalling many episodes to memory, and chatting regularly by text or phone.

Keri was a Fashionista, and loved to bargain hunt for high fashion clothes and especially SHOES SHOES SHOES!

She loved going to concerts: Depeche Mode, James Taylor, and John Denver. Recently, she enjoyed listening to the LDS Rock Band, "The Killers".

In 1997, Keri reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Omar, and began a wonderful courtship ending in a beautiful wedding on August 1, 1998 aboard The Queen Mary. They were finally blessed with a much anticipated baby in 2003.

Keri leaves behind her beloved husband, Omar, and Luca; her mom, Susan Callister; and her favorite California "mom" of 50 years, Addy Bergeron; her best friend and sister, Kathy Vanek, and nephews, Adam and Ethan, and many other great relatives and friends. She also loved cats and dogs, and adored her Cat, Oliver, who still sleeps on her favorite throw and wanders around their home looking for her.

WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU, GREATLY, KERI. HAVE FUN UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!
