Kern J. Rodriguez

Kern J. Rodriguez, 72, lived a vibrant life in Raceland, La. filled with love, kindness, and joy. He touched many hearts and will be deeply missed. His spirit will forever inspire those who knew him. He passed away on July 13, 2025 at home with his loving family near his side.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial in the church cemetery.

Kern is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Kees Rodriguez; sons, Chad Rodriguez (Alicia) and Ryan Rodriguez (Kristy); stepson, Duane Batusic (Cindy); 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; brothers, Greg Rodriguez (Mary), Cornell Rodriguez, Mark Rodriguez (Charlene), Audie Rodriguez (Deborah); and sister, Tonya R. Dies; multiple nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Gracie.

Kern is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Rodriguez and Rita Dufrene Rodriguez and Kyle.

Kern worked for Cintas Uniforms Services where he retired after working for many years. He was a member of the National Guard. Kern loved his family, his dog, fishing and golf.
