Kerry James Granier, age 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025. Born on April 1, 1952, he was the son of the late Norman Joseph Granier, Sr. and Ledora Usea Granier.

Kerry spent his life rooted in the bayous of Louisiana, where he found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved deer hunting and spending time at the camp with his wife, Ernestine “Ernie” Senter Granier. Together, they shared a deep passion for nature, hunting, and the quiet traditions of camp life.

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Senter Granier; his three sons, Brady Granier of Sherman Oaks, California, Teddy Granier of Kraemer, Louisiana, and C.C. Granier of New Orleans, Louisiana; and his daughter-in-law, Kelly Granier (Teddy). Kerry is also survived by his grandchildren, Berlynn, Kash, Londynn, and Lenyxx (children of Brady), and Jaxton (child of Teddy).

Kerry leaves behind his brothers Randy “Soul” Granier of Kraemer, Louisiana; Barry (Rachael) Granier of Chackbay, Louisiana; and Mark (Tammy) Granier of Kraemer, Louisiana; as well as his sisters Debra (Dennie) Allen of Center City, Minnesota, and Ursula (Curtis) Hudson of Youngsville, Louisiana.

He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Cookie Granier, wife of his late brother Allan Granier, and Julie Granier, wife of his late brother Norman Joseph Granier, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Allan Granier and Norman Joseph Granier, Jr.; his sister-in-law Monica C. Granier; and all four grandparents: Theodore and Louise Cortez Granier, and Wilson and Clalie Usea.

Kerry will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, the peace he found in nature, and the time he shared with those closest to him at the camp. His family honors his life, his story, and the legacy he leaves behind.
