Kerry Hansen Obituary
Kerry Hansen, age 68, went home to Jesus surrounded by his family on May 3rd, 2024.
Kerry was born in Choteau Montana to Barbara and Kermit (Swede) Hansen. He lived most of his life in Washington State. Kerry joined the military after graduating high school and served as military police. He had two children after getting out of the military, Jeffrey Hansen, and Jessica Olsen.
Kerry met his wife, Cheryl. They married on May 21, 1998. They didn't have any children together, but Kerry was a loving stepfather to Angela Ramirez and Jamie Howard.
Kerry was a licensed nursing home administrator, enjoying life in Las Cruces NM and worked up until his battle with cancer was too much.
Kerry was passionate about grandchildren, golf, and cruising to warm and sunny places. He had a Caribbean soul he could barely control.
Kerry joins his parents, Swede, and Barbara, in Heaven. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his siblings, Kerm (Syd) Hansen, his twin brother Kirk Hansen, his brother Kim Hansen and sister Brenda (Tim) Hovan; his children Jeffrey Hansen and Jessica (Chris) Olson; stepchildren, Angela (Gil) Ramirez, Jamie (Jess) Howard, his grandchildren, Ashlynn (Branden) Gribskov, Austen Lepore and her significant other Dylan, Alex, Ariana, Logan, Lucas, Savannah Ramirez, Cameron and Jordan Howard, and his first great grandchild Olivia Gribskov. Kerry had numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends.
A celebration of Kerry's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave., Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Mr. Hansen was a beautiful person always thinking of others before himself. I remember when I needed a job, he told me "Rosa you will always have a job with me always." I told him "Mr. Hansen some people come to our life as lessons, others as blessings.' He came to my life as a blessing, he was not only my Boss, but my friend. He will always be in my prayers.

Kerry was not only a great Boss he was a good friend he was always there for his staff work related or personal issues he stood behind his employees he made his building a better place to work in he will be missed God Bless him and his family Always a friend Barbara
