Kerry Krantz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Forest Ridge Funeral Home-Memorial Park Chapel on Nov. 21, 2025.
Kerry Patrick Krantz passed away peacefully at his home in Watauga, Texas on November 14th, 2025. Shela Parker, his wife of 10 years, and stepdaughter Crystal Green were by his side. He was a lifetime resident of several cities in Tarrant County, Texas, including Hurst, Euless and Bedford.

Kerry was born on February 13th, 1966, in Dallas, TX, to his father Kerry Keith Krantz and mother Patsy Jean Krantz. He graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1984 and while attending school, he discovered his passion for working on cars and anything mechanical through the automotive class. After graduating high school, he worked at several automotive repair shops and eventually went to work as a Service Technician at the family appliance repair business, Metro Appliance. He obtained his Type 1 US EPA 608 Technician Certification and worked hard to become one of the best technicians. After the family business was sold, he worked at several other appliance repair companies, including Accent and Callahan's.

Kerry was a Dodge Mopar man through and through. His very first car was a classic 1972 Dodge Challenger with a 340 Hemi, which he absolutely loved. He enjoyed attending local car shows and racing his AMC Gremlin hot rod at a local drag strip. Above all, his most prized possession was the 2010 Dodge Challenger, to which he loved like a child.

Kerry was a kindhearted person and loved hanging out with friends, family and pets. He would literally give away his last dollar to help someone and would open his door to anyone who needed a place to stay. He loved the holidays and always talked about looking forward to seeing everyone at Thanksgiving and Christmas. He loved eating breakfast, chocolate milk, hamburgers, peanut butter and most of all chocolate pie!

Kerry was preceded in death by his father Kerry Keith Krantz and his sister Pamela Krantz. He is survived by his mother Patsy Krantz, his brother Kurtis Krantz and sister-in-law Kelly Krantz, his wife Shela Parker and stepdaughter Crystal Green.
